AMT Systems extract media either by pneumatic conveying or hydraulic transfer. Hydraulic transfer allows reuse or transfer directly into another filter.
Traditional craneage/flying skip method is also
employed where feasible on exterior filters. It is possible to wash and regrade media for re-use but this is not common practice except for very
expensive specialist media due to the associated costs.
AMT Systems has its own dedicated hydraulic and pneumatic conveying units capable of transferring media in excess of 50 tonnes per hour. However, the average rate of placing will depend on the
required layers of support media and the degree of levelling.
Extraction is limited by entrainment rates into
suction hoses and the required method of disposal.
AMT Systems media transfer services are offered as a comprehensive contract package or simple hire of plant and manpower as necessary.

contract project management encompassing media supply, delivery and installation to suit client
requirements.
